Pig Out Trails FAQ
Why did the date change?
As planning has progressed we have had to respond to the Provincial restriction in place from the pandemic and have revised the date into the Fall where all indicators show that an outdoor event for 30-50 people will be able to proceed.
Are tickets refundable due to date change?
All tickets already purchased will automatically transfer to the new date in accordance with the ticket policy stated at the time of purchase.
What are the Pig Out Trails?
Pig Out Trails are pre-planned routes that include transportation, food and wine to four different wineries in Oliver Osoyoos Wine Country. At each stop you will be offered a pig-based culinary component along with wine tasting and an interactive and/or educational experience at each winery.
Do I have to take the bus?
Yes. Joining trail transport is required. Many wineries are doing special set-ups for the Pig Out Trails that could impact the parking available, as well to ensure that the trails stay on time all participants must be on the bus trail. If you have mobility issues that would prevent you from boarding onto the bus please contact us in advance before purchasing tickets. CLICK HERE
How do I select my pick-up location?
In late April or early May ticketholders will be sent a survey to select their desired pick-up location, from this information collected at this time we will be able to set the number of buses departing from each location and move towards the next steps of confirming your trail details.
What time do the Pig Out Trails start?
As there will be 20 buses on 10 trails for the Pig Out we have staggered start times to ensure that all the wineries and culinary partners are able to offer great experiences for you our guests in a safe and sanitary way. Start times can be assigned anytime between 10am and 1pm.
What do I do if we are wanting to be on the same bus as friends who bought their own tickets?
We will make the best efforts to assign you and your friends to the same routes, it is imperative that you respond to the survey that is sent in late April or early May where we ask for your pick-up location and also details of other groups you want to travel with. Please note that to be on the same trail you MUST select the same pick-up location.
When will I get the details for my Pig Out Trail?
At least 7 days prior to trail departure you will receive confirmation of your pick-up location and departure time. The wineries on your trail will be a surprise an announced to you when you board the trail.
Why is Pig Out not like in previous years?
The COVID-19 pandemic has presented many challenges from which we have learned and adapted; it is no longer safe to welcome hundreds of people to a single event at one time. In 2020, we developed the concept of the Pig Out Trails which combines our beloved day of food and wine into a culinary adventure that will provide safe transportation to smaller groups for a more intimate and in-depth look at wineries and winemaking in Oliver Osoyoos Wine Country.
Are my tickets refundable?
As indicated at the time of purchase all event tickets are non-refundable. Tickets are non-refundable as once planning is underway for the event many contracts are finalized and upfront costs are incurred. As many businesses learned in 2020 circumstances relating to the pandemic can cause unexpected and uncontrollable changes. Oliver Osoyoos Wine Country will continue to work to provide the best experience for you we can within Provincial and Federal restrictions but we reserve the right to make adjustments to the event including the date.
Are my tickets transferable?
Yes, until you submit the final names for the guestlist for people attending with your tickets you can change the people that are attending. Final guest list MAY BE used for contract tracing should any pandemic related issues arise; therefore once you have submitted your final guests attending changes cannot be made within 72 hours of the event.
What wineries are participating?
